You know that song "I Guess That's Why They Call it the Blues" by Elton John? I hate the whole song for that one line: "Rollin' like thunder...under the covers!"
Another cringe-thing: the word "impromptu" in speech. In writing it's fine, but hearing the -u at the end is just bad.
Shoe update: I think I'll keep them, and I think I need foot surgery or something.
NO SURGERY!!! Just watched a carpal tunnel surgery in class, itty bitty one-inch incision near the middle of the wrist, only took 10 min, and that was enough to turn me off of surgery for life.
